Abdominal sacral massage can help with a range of problems. 

Are you affected with indigestion?  I know this is something you would rather not talk about but do you suffer with constipation, bloating, gas?  For gentle  natural relief, try a belly massage.

Learning more about your abdomen

Did you know that your intestines is a muscular organ?  Your intestines has its own slow contracting rhythm (called peristalsis) that gently moves your food through your body until it is expelled as a stool.  If this is not happening, you experience constipation.  Constipation is frequently associated with other problems such as: bloating, IBS, fatigue, skin conditions, allergies, and much more!  So what can you do other than change your diet or try various medications?  Try an abdominal massage. 

Benefits of abdominal massage

So why have an abdominal massage?  Massage supports the tissues of your intestines helping them to work as they should.  Massaging your abdomen helps to move your digested food through your intestines (waste material can stay in the intestines for a long time).  It helps to restore and promote normal bowel movements.  Massage improves the circulation in the abdomen.  It supports the nervous system, soothing an overactive system or stimulating a sluggish system.  Therapeutic massage stimulates the lymphatic system, encouraging the removal of waste products.  Basically the organs in your belly get a general workout which helps them to function much better.  Result? You feel better as well!

So what is an abdominal sacral massage? 

There are basically three parts to the massage but it can be tailored to your requirements.

  • Colon massage.   Part of the massage is focused on massaging your abdominal area working on your abdomen from just under your ribs down towards your pubic bone. (Yes, your abdomen is a large area.)
  • Reproductive organs.  This involves doing some gentle stretching moves which helps to balance the organs in the pelvic area especially the uterus.  This work will help with irregular bleeding, PMS, ovulation problems, and other such issues.
  • Lower back and sacrum massage.  Problems with the lower back and abdomen frequently occur together.  It may not be clear which area is the problem.  This work balances both areas so your back feels better.  Your belly will fell better as well!
