Elizabeth Hughes

Massage therapist and bodyworker

Hi I'm the person behind the website and my hands do the bodywork.

I am a relatively late comer to massage.  Having been fully employed for twenty years, my career hit an unexpected dead end.  What was I to do?

I'd been studying massage as a hobby.  This had all started with finding a wonderful colour picture book on massage.  Photographs are great but they don't show the actual movement.  (My adventure started before the ease of YouTube and the internet!)  Luckily for me, the book had a contact for a massage school.   So I did their “taster day” and was hooked and signed up to do their course.

I haven't looked back.

I'm here to help your body return to health whether it is in pain, feeling stressed, or just needing some relaxation!

Why call my business Touch Point Therapy? Although I trained in massage, I do a range of different therapies.  All massage is bodywork but not all bodywork is massage.  All the therapies I do involve touch and sometimes I seem able to find those "tender" spots. Voila Touch Point Therapy.

Although I completed my initial training in anatomy, physiology and therapeutic massage in 2000, my studies continue. (Training in massage is more involved than just learning how to do different strokes.  Did you know that there are 206 bones and about 630 muscles in the human body?)

By continuing my studies, I am expanding the range of techniques I have available so that I can give you, the client, the treatment that is most appropriate for your needs.
