IMPACT well-being is a simple, flexible approach to managing stress in all of its forms.
Do you know what causes stress? Do you understand how your body responds to stress? This well-being programme will help you to understand stress, its causes, its effects, and what you can do to help yourself in stressful situations.
IMPACT introduces you to various techniques that can be used to reduce stress including:
IMPACT well-being can be used in the school environment in a range of situations such as during exam time when stress is high, or in behaviour support groups.
The IMPACT well-being can be used in the workplace. Some jobs are very stressful, working in the care sector is an example. With this programme, everyone will feel better: staff, patients, visitors will feel better! When people feel better, relationships become easier.
Using IMPACT well-being, people feel calmer, better focused, and more confident. Their physical, mental, and emotional health improves!

- progressive relaxation
- visualisation
- massage for yourself
- massage for a partner (ideal when you are caring for someone as you both need to relax! Doing massage helps to relax you as well as your partner!)
